Coach Tom Bond enters his 37th year of coaching, the 23rd year at Highland, and 11th year as Head Track & Field coach.

Before taking the reins of the Scottie program, Tom was a long time assistant coach for Highland. While on staff, he helped develop several national qualifiers, and three conference championship teams. Coach Bond also served HCC as an assistant and head women's basketball coach for three seasons, taking the Scotties to their first DII Region Championship game.
Bond came to Highland after a very successful career at the high school level. His teams at Troy High School produced numerous state qualifiers, medalists, as well as one state championship and many top ten finishes.
Tom received his A.A. from Wentworth Military Academy where he was a standout track athlete and was part of the record setting 4x800 relay team. He also attended Kansas State University and graduated from Missouri Western State University with a B.S. in History and a minor in Athletic Coaching.
Bond resides in Highland, KS and enjoys spending time with his children, Jane, Peter, Chris and grandchildren Emma, Eli, Grace, Porter, Hank and Molly.
