Saulo Yoel earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after helping lead the way thus far this season for the Men’s Cross Country team.

Yoel posted another Top 15 finish taking 12^th out of 227 runners at the Missouri Southern Stampede behind a time of 26:59.2, helping the Scottie men take 10^th as a team at the event. The race featured runners from NJCAA, NAIA and Division III levels.

On the year thus far Yoel and the Scottie Cross Country team has competed in three competitions and the sophomore has helped lead the charge for the Scottie men in the action. He earned eighth place at the Rocky Raven meet in Atchison out of 53 runners (28:56.19) and finished 73^rd to open the season at the Augie Twilight (23:25.14).
