Donnell Lowery earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after leading the team in tackles in a tough 16-13 road loss at #5 Hutchinson.

Lowery posted nine tackles on the day to lead the Scottie defense that forced a pair of turnovers and held the #5 ranked team in the country Hutchinson to 16 points a team that averages over 40 points per game on the season. The Maryland native also on the day had a tackle for loss and a forced fumble.

On the year Lowery leads the team in tackles with 51 on the season, averaging 8.5 tackles per game. He has a forced fumble, fumble recovery, blocked kick and interception. His interception was a 45-yard pick six in the contest against Butler. He currently ranks second in the KJCCC in total tackles and fourth in tackles per game and is tied for 17^th in the Nation in total tackles.
