Tuana Dinc earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after she helped the women’s basketball team open the 2018-19 season 2-0 with a pair of wins at the Allen CC Tournament.

The Scotties topped Bacon College (Okla.) 139-27 in the season opener and Dinc in her first game as a Scottie put together a stat sheet stuffing performance finishing with 19 points on 9-13 shooting while adding eight rebounds, six assists and seven steals in the win. Dinc and Highland followed the season opening win up with a 73-59 victory over Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa and the sophomore from Turkey posted her first double-double as a Scottie finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds, adding two steals and one assist, while going 6-6 from the free throw line.
