Daisah Purnell earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after she helped the women’s basketball team pick up a 106-35 win over University of St Mary JV last week to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Purnell dropped a team high and career best 22 points in the win coming off the bench and finished 9-16 from the floor in the contest. She added a career best eight steals in the win also as the Scotties notched 31 steals and forced 46 turnovers. Purnell finished her stat line with two assists and two rebounds.

On the season in three games Purnell is averaging 14.7 points per game, along with 3.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and three steals per game.
