Armani Turner earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after two strong performances last week helping the #2 Highland women’s basketball team to two wins last week beating MCC 83-78 and Grand View JV 92-78, moving to 9-0 on the season.

Turner had 11 points against MCC on the road and added three rebounds and three assists as the Scotties remained unbeaten with a tight win over MCC. She followed that up with a 14 point game against Grand View JV going 4-5 from the free throw line and added three steals in come from behind win at home.

On the season Turner is averaging 10.2 points per game on 55.4% shooting, while adding two rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Turner is one of only six Scotties have played in all nine games this season and she has tallied double figures in six of the nine games including a season best 15 against McPherson JV.
