Tristen Hull earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after helping the #3 Highland men’s basketball team remain unbeaten on the season earning three wins last week. The Scotties topped Graceland JV 112-65 and then picked up two wins in Beatrice, Nebraska at the SCC Holiday Classic beating Central CC-Columbus 73-71 and topping Southeast CC 88-54.
Hull lead the way against Graceland JV posting a career high 19 points on 8-10 shooting and added six rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocks and one steal in the win. He followed that up with an 11 point performance against Central CC finishing as one of only two Scotties in double figures in the win, while adding five rebounds and four steals. Capping the week Hull recorded his second double-double of the season finishing with 15 points and 12 rebounds; he was 5-7 from the floor in the win over Southeast and 5-8 from the free throw line.
On the season Hull is averaging 10.7 points per game, while shooting 61.8% from the floor and 76.9% from the charity stripe. He’s added 6.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game this season. On the year Hull has seven double figure scoring contests including his last three games.
