Rashon Johnson earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after helping the #2 Highland men’s basketball team remain unbeaten on the season earning a pair of wins last week. The Scotties topped Neosho County 79-69 and beat #11 Southwestern 81-61 at the JCCC Classic to head into the holiday break 16-0.

Johnson helped the Scotties beat Neosho County for the second time this season in a neutral site contest as he tallied six points and grabbed a career high 13 rebounds and added an assist in the win. Rashon followed that game with a 10 point performance in the win over #11 Southwestern going 6-6 from the free throw line in game, while adding five rebounds and a steal.

On the season Johnson off the bench has played in all 16 games and is averaging seven points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
