Tiana Gipson earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after helping the Highland women’s basketball team finish the regular season strong and tie a school record with 10 three-pointers in a single game.

Gipson and the Scotties capped the regular season with a 100-61 rout of Fort Scott and the freshman dropped a career best 38 points on 13-19 shooting draining a single game HCC school record 10 three-pointers in the win. She matched a single game HCC record set by Blaize Burgess last season for most three’s in a single game.

She also posted a 25 point showing in a 94-88 win over #4 KCK at home going 7-11 from the field and 8-8 from the free throw line in the contest.

On the season Gipson is averaging 13.3 points per game on 51.3% shooting and 44.6% from three-point range, while adding 1.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
