Dalton Burt earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after putting together solid performances in the series against KCK last week.

Burt posted a 2-4 game in game two of the doubleheader at KCK on Friday and was 3-5 against KCK on Sunday in the second game of the doubleheader with a pair of doubles and four RBI’s. In the four game series Burt was 5-16 at the plate with five RBI’s, three runs scored, a double and stolen base. He also started against KCK in game one on Sunday and tossed two innings giving up three runs on three hits and one walk and one strikeout.

On the season Burt is batting .356 which is a team best, while leading the team in hits with 21 including seven doubles and has added 12 RBI’s and five walks. On the mound he is 1-4 tossing 9.2 innings giving up 13 runs (eight earned) on 17 hits and five walks with seven strikeouts.
