Johnathan Butler earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” after helping the Highland football team to a big 20-14 win over #15 Iowa Central at home.

Butler had a defensive game for the Highland record books recording the third most tackles in a single game in school history with 19 tackles and added a sack to his stat line. The sophomore, wreak havoc all day on the Iowa Central defense; he had 10 tackles by halftime. He helped the Scotties make several big plays and stops over the course of the game.

On the season Butler leads the team in tackles with 43, while adding a sack and 3.5 tackles for a loss. He ranks third in the KJCCC in tackles in and fourth in tackles per game at 8.6, while checking in at 12^th in the Nation in total tackles.
