Ryan Ringer earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” after running a personal best time at the FHSU Tiger Open to help the men’s cross country team finish fifth place as a team on the day.

Ringer finished with a time of 27:41.2 to register the fourth fastest Scottie time on the day helping the Highland men finish fifth place as a team in the black division race at the FHSU Tiger Open. His time earned him 46th place out of 131 runners in the race and marked the first time this season he has went sub 30 minutes in an 8K race.

The freshman’s time also is over two minutes better than his time at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational race in Chicago.
