Armani Turner earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” after helping Highland women’s basketball team go 2-0 last week to improve to 4-0 on the season.

Turner dropped 40 points in the Scotties home opener an 82-63 win over Concordia JV. She tallied 33 of the 40 points in the second half going 13-24 from the floor, 6-12 from three-point range and 8-11 from the free throw line. She added five steals and three rebounds in the game.

The sophomore followed up her career performance with a 21 point performance in a 92-69 win over Grand View JV. She finished 7-14 from the field and 6-8 from the free throw line adding four rebounds and two steals.

On the season Turner is averaging 21.3 points per game on 52.5% shooting in four game with four starts. She’s added 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 3.3 steals per game, while averaging less than one turnover per game.
