Aguek Deng earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” after helping the Highland men’s basketball team move to 9-2 on the season after picking up two wins last week.

Deng posted his second and third double-double of his career in the two wins. He opened the week posting 10 points on 4-7 shooting and 2-2 from the free throw line in the win over University of St Mary (KS) JV while adding 11 rebounds and two assists. Against Ottawa JV Deng continued his strong play tallying 15 points on 7-12 shooting, while adding 12 rebounds, three assists, a steal and block.

On the season Deng is averaging 10.1 points per game on 52.4% shooting, while adding 7.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.3 blocks per game.
