Freshman offensive lineman Torrey Boone receives this weeks 'Athlete of the Week' award after an incredible season at the guard position for the Highland Scotties. Boone helped the Scotties get to a 7-4 finish and tied for 2nd in the KJCCC; the most wins at Highland since 1993.

Boone, a 6'4 freshmen guard from Blythewood, SC, didn’t fill up the stat column as an offensive lineman but played an essential part in the high powered Scottie offense, in particular, the rushing game throughout the season. The Scotties finished 2^nd in the KJCCC in rushing yards this season at 2141 total yards an average of 194.6 rushing yards per game.

Coach Arnold- “Torrey is everything I want in an offensive lineman. He’s a blue collar kid that works his tail off every day. He’s a great player but what I really love about Torrey is that he makes everyone else around him better.”
