Jose Jaime, a freshman from McAllen, Texas, had an outstanding performance at the NJCAA National Cross Country Tournament that took place in El Dorado, Kansas on Saturday, November 12th. Jaime, running on his birthday, became the 2nd ever Division 1 NJCAA Cross Country All-American in Highland history (Brian Martinez 2013 and 2014). He finished 40th place, amongst 65 schools represented, with a time of 26:24; a personal best and 6th fastest time in School History.
With Jaime leading the team, the Scotties were ranked in every national poll this season, going into the meet at #18. The 15th place is the 3rd time in the last 4 years that the men have place in the top 20 while it also being the 2nd best national finish in school history since the Cross Country Division merge.
Congrats on a great year Jose!
