Had 2 out of the 4 interceptions against Garden City last Saturday, the second one came with less than a minute in the 4 quarter. Highland’s defense shut down Garden City on offense and Malik was a huge factor in the shut out resulting in a 3-0 win for the Scottie’s. The win also broke a 9-game losing streak to Garden City going back to 2014.
 
The 3-0 win over Garden City was the first time Highland has held the Busters scoreless in program history. It was our 6th win in 40 meetings according to my records.
