Nikita Holthaus, Highland sophomore Athletic Trainer, earns this week’s Scottie ‘Athlete of the Week’ after his efforts in the training room over the past week.
 
Nikita is in his second year as a student athletic trainer for the Scotties and has really stepped up as a leader in the training room. “Nikita is always around and very reliable. He is one of our best workers and loves to learn. He has been a lot of fun to have around the past year and a half,” commented assistant athletic trainer Nicole Hergert.
 
Nikita has worked with all of Highland’s sports programs in some capacity in his two-year tenure. From taping ankles and doing treatments to keeping the water cold and to the players on the sideline, Nikita has done it all.
