Zekarias Philipo has been awarded 'Scottie Athlete of the Week' after the Cross Country Teams second meet of the 2017 season.

Philipo, in his sophomore season as a Scottie, was the top Highland performer and the top NJCAA performer with his 31st place finish against a group of 280 runners in the Augie Twilight in Sioux Falls, SD. He ran the men's 4 mile run with a time of 20:22.06; 20 seconds faster than his PR from the 2016 season.
