Tra Barrett, sophomore from Valdosta, GA,  is named Scottie ‘Athlete of the Week’ after his big defensive performance Saturday in the Scotties 9-6 loss to Independence.
 
Standing 6’3, 205lbs, Barrett is a force in the Scottie secondary. Barrett recorded 7 tackles, one for a loss, he had a fumble recovery, an interception and a broken-up pass on the day vs. Independence. Barrett has recorded 29 tackles on the season from the safety position, 4.5 of those for a loss.
