Sophomore Koie Orozco has been awarded 'Scottie Athlete of the Week' after leading her team to a first ever 30 win season and 2nd place finish in the KJCCC with a 3-0 sweep of the #7 Cowley Tigers.

Orozco produced her 5th double-double of her career putting down 12 kills on 29 attempts with only three errors hitting a percentage of .310. She picked up 10 digs on defense with one assist and two solo blocks. Koie has been a vocal, reliable, powerhouse on the right side for the Scotties all year helping the team finish with their first ever 2nd place finish in the KJCCC, first ever 30 win season, and first time Highland has hosted a District tournament.
