The Highland Community College Scotties started out the DMACC Tournament in Boone, Iowa strong on Friday, October 7th as they beat North Dakota State College of Science 3-1. Set scores were: 25-19, 17-25, 25-18, 25-18.
Shailey Caudle and
Tyrecia Lukes were dominant on the net as Caudle had 20 kills with only 4 errors hitting a .356 and Lukes had 12 kills with only 4 errors hitting a .250. Caudle also recorded 14 digs in the backrow giving her a double-double.
Megan Rhule dished out 38 set assists to her hitters and the team had 11 total blocks.
With this win, the Scotties are now 19-5 on the season and will play three more games in the tournament. They will play MCC-Longview at 6:00pm.
