The #18 Highland Scottie volleyball team finished their regular season seated 5th in the conference, resulting in playing the 4th seated, #17 Fort Scott Greyhounds in the first round of the District Tournament which was played in Coffeyville, Kansas at 1:00pm. The Scotties fell short in the tournament game losing 0-3, set scores were: 20-25, 22-25, 23-25.
Sophomores Tyrecia Lukes and Shailey Caudle led the offense with 12 and 13 kills and each having 4 and 6 digs as well. Marianna Falls led the defense with 11 digs and 5 kills followed by Leslie Polanco with 9 digs. Megan Rhule dished out 35 set assists and came up with 6 digs.
The HCC Scotties ended their 2016-2017 season with a 24-14 record.
