Andrea Keller on Saturday, Highland (27-7) continued its final non-conference swing at Metropolitan Community College (15-9) on Wednesday night. For the first time this season, the Scotties battled through a five-set match, falling 3-2 (25-15, 28-26, 21-25, 27-29, 10-15) to the Blue Wolves.
Cali Honeyman and
Jaala Stewart both recorded double-doubles for Highland, with Honeyman adding 20 digs to a career-high 26 kills on the night. Stewart finished one dig short of her season high with 23, adding 13 kills.
Highland returns to Ben Allen Field House on Tuesday to take on Friends University. Following the match, which is set for a 5 p.m. first serve, the Scotties will honor five sophomores who are completing their athletic eligibility at HCC.
