Matthew Ludwick

Matt Ludwick is the Assistant Track and Field coach in charge of throwers at Highland Community College. He is also the Esports Director and Admissions Representative at Highland Community College. He is a native Kansan who graduated from Liberal High School. While there, he contributed four years to Liberal’s 27 state championships in track and football that Liberal earned in a 12-year span. He attended Fort Hays State University and earned a degree in Sports/Recreation Management. He then earned a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Kinesiology at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He taught K-12 P.E. / Health in public schools, including P.E. courses at the college level. Before arriving at Highland, he owned Conquest Promotions, a nationally recognized promotions company which emphasizes combat sports, concerts, esports and boxing. 

Coach Ludwick began his track career as a decathlete and football player at the college level, then focused on football in Europe. His coaching skills include over 25 of years in combined traditional sports coaching. From coaching collegiate football and track, to high school and middle school sports, coach Ludwick gained respect from parents and players alike. He has worked with professional and amateur athletes in the realm of combat sports, speed and strength coach for several sports and continues to compete in track and field during his spare time.  
 
He is married to his high school sweetheart, Ricki, and they have three boys. His oldest son, Jonathan, is an architect?and is married to?Mikayla, a teacher in Kansas City. Jacob, Ludwick's middle son, who competes internationally and attends Ottawa University. Luke, his youngest,?will be in the seventh grade this year.
