Gabriel Crawford enters his 1st season as Interim Head Track & Field Coach for both the men’s and women’s programs. Crawford earned an Associate in General Studies from Neosho County Community College in Chanute, KS and then went on to earn a Bachelor's in Science Health/PE and Recreation, from Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena,MS. Crawford has coached Cross Country and Track & Field since 2019. While still being a student-athlete Crawford founded his own track club called MX3 , which stood for More, Motivation, & Mentality. Throughout Crawford student athlete career he focused on recruiting,coaching and training athletes through MX3. Crawford has continue to build relationships and network from state to state. Crawford volunteer coached at  Leflore County High School helping led and coach the boys & girls team to back to back District and Conference Titles in 2022 and 2023.
 
While at Mississippi Valley State University, in 2022, Crawford obtain Athlete of Week along with achieving the Honor Scholar Award for having a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Crawford went on the finish in 2023 receiving another Honor Scholar Award in 2023, along with a Most Valuable Performance Award for the University of Mississippi Valley Men’s Track & Cross Country team. Throughout Crawford coaching career he has went to coach and produce 8 NJCAA Qualifiers. 12 All-Conference Athletes, 10 Individual Top 3 Conference Finishes,along with have top 11th fastest (4x100) relay team on a national level with AAU. Crawford also has his USATF certification Level 1 from coaching 2 professional athletes.
