Brittany VanRoyen enters her second year as the Assistant Coach for Volleyball at Highland Community. Prior to coming to Highland she served in the same capacity at Garden City Community College. VanRoyen spent the 2019 season as an assistant softball coach at Neosho County Community College. 

VanRoyen grew up in Chanute, KS and graduated from Chanute High School. She played collegiate volleyball at Friends University where she was a defensive specialist. She is in the process of finishing her Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management through Wichita State University. 

VanRoyen's coaching career includes time at both the club and high-school levels, working specifically with defensive specialists and setters. She moves to Highland with her four-year old daughter, Kinley and dog, Evie.
