Michaela Serrioz joined the Highland volleyball coaching staff as assistant coach prior to the 2018 season. 

Serrioz helped lead Highland volleyball to a 34-3 record in 2018 with the Scotties capturing their first KJCCC title since 1996 and earning National ranking as high as #3 during the season. The 2018 Highland team also broke several team and individual records during the season and posted Top five season performances. 

The Gardner, Kansas native came back to Highland to coach after playing at Highland in 2014 and 2015 including playing under Head Coach, Jon Bingesser. Serrioz recorded 1,633 assists in her career which ranks third in school history and had 1,127 assists in a single season which ranks fifth in school history. She added 134 kills, 473 digs, 48 aces and 73 blocks in her two-year Scottie career. 

After playing at Highland, Serrioz wrapped up her playing and academic career at Ottawa University playing in 2016 and 2017 for the Braves helping them win two KCAC titles and earn a trip to the NAIA National Tournament in 2017. 

Serrioz has prior coaching experience to coming to Highland as she as served as a coach for club volleyball for five years (three years Gold and two years Nationals). 

The Gardner, Kansas native Serrioz earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Ottawa University.
