Noah McClanahan earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after putting together solid performances in the series against KCK last week.

While the Scotties went 0-4 in the series with Johnson County, Highland was ultra-competitive in the series. The sophomore McClanahan had a pair of strong showings in the series against the Cavaliers. In a tough 9-6 loss at Johnson County, McClanahan tossed two innings of relief giving up two unearned runs on two hits with a pair of strikeouts.

Noah then made his first start of the season in the Scotties first home game of the season a game in which the Scotties had a chance to win but fell just short 3-2. McClanahan in the contest work three and one-third innings giving up one run on one hit and two walks, while striking out two.

On the season he has made 11 appearances tossing 24 innings with a 4.88 ERA giving up 18 runs (13 earned) on 22 hits, 12 walks and has a team high 26 strikeouts.
