Octavia Wright earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after putting together solid performances in the series against KCK last week.

Wright opened the Outdoor season at the Emporia State Spring Twilight with her teammates and she put together a solid performance. With a time of 1:00.58 Wright captured a fifth place finish in the 400 meter dash competing against 33 other runners in the race.

She also took 20th place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.50 at the Emporia State Spring Twilight.
