Tiana Gipson earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” after helping Highland women’s basketball team open the season 2-0 and set a school record in the process.

Gipson opened the 2019-20 basketball season by dropping 37 points on 13-22 shooting in a 120-58 win over Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa at the Allen Classic and hit 11 three-pointers in the game to break a school record for made three-pointers in a game at Highland. She broke a record that she tied last year hitting 10 three’s in a game. She added two rebounds, two assists and six steals in the win.

She followed her record performance with nine points, a rebound, five assists and five steals against Calvary University.
