The Scottie volleyball team entered into the triangular in Ottuwma, Iowa with overall record of 19-9. Their first match was against ranked #9 Kirkwood Community College at 10:00am. The Scotties were defeated 1-3 with the set scores as followed: 20-25, 14-25, 25-23, 18-25.
The lineup of the game included a handful of freshman stepping in to play for the Scotties. Koie Oroco played well with 5 kills, 1 set assist, 6 digs, and 1 block assist. Shailey Caudle led in kills and digs with 9 and 11 apeice. Lauren Hipfl stepped in and contributed 8 kills, 1 service ace, 6 digs, and 2 blocks. Marianna Falls stepped up with 8 kills and a .227 hitting percentage and 9 digs. Megan Rhule dished out 30 set assists, 1 service ace, and 8 digs.
The Scotties are now 19-10 on the season and will play Indian Hills CC in their last game of the triangular at 2:00pm.
