Box Score 2 The HCC men's basketball team traveled to Kansas City, Kansas to participate in the KCKCC Classic on November 11th and 12th. The Scotties finished the weekend 2-0 beating Livin' the Dream 83-75 on Friday and beat Link Year Prep on Saturday 71-69.
 In Friday's action, HCC had a good 1st half from behind the harc shooting 60% while also out rebounding Livin' the Dream 22-12. HCC lead at halftime 41-37. With more shot attempts and 12 lead changes, the Scotties pulled out the win.
As a team, HCC collected 47 total rebounds, shot 60% from the free throw line, made 9 out of 20 threes, and shot 43.1% of their field goals. Three Scottie players scored in double digits, led by
Jaquan Daniels with 21, who also pulled down 8 rebounds.
Ryan Haskins had a season high 18 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals, and teammate
Stephon Jackson put up 17 points for the Scotties.
Andre Jackson led the team in rebounds with 10 and
Danmons O'Connor had 6 points off the bench.
Highland then faced Link Year Prep in Saturday's game.
Ryan Haskins had another great scoring game as he came up with 17 points and 4 rebounds.
Dontre English had his best game with 17 points as well.
Andre Jackson put up 13 points and 10 rebounds creating his first double-double of the season, and 3 steals.
Collin Jasper was a force off the bench as he had 3 assists and 6 points. The Scotties out rebounded their opponent 38-32.
The HCC men's basketball team is now 3-1 on the year and will compete against Wentworth Military Academy on Tuesday, November 15th at 7:00pm in Lexington, Missouri.
