Highland improved to 8-1 on the year with an 82-76 victory over On Point Hoops Academy on Saturday afternoon.

Six lead changes and 58 fouls later, Highland came out on top after an intense back and forth matchup in Ben Allen Field House.

Freshman guard
Dontre English led the Scotties in scoring with 18 points and five rebounds. Nine of those 18 coming from the free throw line. English finished 9-11 from the line.
Stephon Jackson played a big offensive role scoring 15 points and pulling down three rebounds.
Jaquan Daniels posted 11 points and four rebounds on the night as well as two key blocks late in the game.
Andre Jackson and
Ryan Haskins almost posted double-doubles on the night; Jackson 10 points & 9 rebounds (6 offensive), Haskins with 9 points & 10 rebounds.

Highland out rebounded the Panthers 46-23, 18 of those coming from the offensive glass. The Panthers only came up with five offensive rebounds and only four second chance points on the night while Highland was able to score 23 points off of their 18 offensive boards.

There was a total of 58 fouls called on the night, 29 for each team. Highland got to the line 40 times on the night and knocked down 27 free throws a 68% performance.
