Highland improved to 11-1, the best start at HCC since 1967, after a 96-64 win over Washburn University JV on Monday night in front of a packed finals week crowd in Ben Allen Field House.

Highland took on Washburn JV the first time around in their second game of the season back on November 5
th at the Barton Tournament defeating them 80-66. This go around found a similar outcome, just a wider spread.

Five Scotties scored in double figures Monday night helping to boost Highland to the 96-64 victory.
Jaquan Daniels led the charge offensively for Highland as he worked his way to an 18 point, five rebound and two steal performance.
Stephon Jackson and
Dontre English both combined for 16 a piece on the night.
Andre Jackson added in 12 points and four assists and sophomore
Collin Jasper went 3-3 from behind the arc and finished with 11 points and tying his season high.

It was a hot night shooting for the Scotties as they finished shooting 52% from the floor and 48% from downtown while holding their opponent to shooting only 35% from the floor and 29% from three-point range.

The Scotties took care of the ball only giving up eight turnovers on the night while forcing Washburn into 16 turnovers, 11 of those off Highland steals.

Danmons O'Connor shared the ball well dishing out seven of the teams 20 assists.
Ryan Haskins finished with five assists and
Andre Jackson recorded four. The Scottie out rebounded the Ichabods 42-31.

Highland will travel to Beatrice, NE this coming Friday & Saturday to compete in the Southeast Holiday Classic. They will take on Central Community College (NE) on Friday at 4:00pm and take on the host team Southeast Community College (NE) Saturday at 8:00pm.
