The Highland Scottie volleyball team traveled to Iowa to compete in a triangular for the day. The first game was against the Iowa Central Tritons (13-6).
The entire game was back and forth as both teams were focused on coming out on top.
Tyrecia Lukes had a spectacular game offensively as she put down 15 kills which ties her career high for the season so far. Lukes also added to her blocking total having 7 during the game.
Leslie Polanco took control all the way around the court as she recorded a double-double with 15 kills and 18 digs.
Megan Rhule had another respectable game as she recorded a double-double as well with career high 18 digs and dished out 37 set assists; just 5 short of her career high 42.
Josie Vitosh showed great defense with 14 digs and two service aces and
Shailey Caudle added 10 digs of her own.
The set scores ended up as follows: 19-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-19.
With this win, the Scotties are now 10-5 overall and look to continue their win streak. The Highland volleyball team will take on Dakota County Technical College next at 5:00pm. Â
