The Scotties took on Dakota Technical College, whose record coming in to the day is 7-8, in their second game of the triangular. The Blue Knights deemed no match for the Scotties as the set scores were 25-9, 25-14, 25-11.
As a team, the hitting percentage turned out to be an impressive .348 which was led by
Shailey Caudle and
Tyrecia Lukes with 7 apiece and
Marianna Falls following with 6.
Megan Rhule and
Leslie Polanco each had 4 kills with no errors and
Lauren Hipfl and Jessica Luscomb added in 4 and 1 kill each off the bench.
Rhule added in 22 set assists while the team also had 5 service aces throughout the game. Defensively, Vitosh and Caudle led the dig column with 5 each and the team recorded 5 blocks to help win the match.
The Scotties are now 11-5 on the year and look forward to competing against Labette Commuity College in another conference showdown on Monday, September 26th at 5:30pm in Parsons, Kansas.
