Highland improved to 18-7 on the year with a 71-58 victory over Hesston College on Saturday afternoon.
The Scotties led the whole game, but also gave tremendous defensive effort. Stephon Jackson and Ryan Haskins both continued to prove themselves as they led the team on the stat sheet. Jackson put up another 20-point game with 2 assists and 3 rebounds. Haskins was 4-8 from the behind the arc which helps his KJCCC percentage of 47.7% shooting putting him second thus far in the season. He added 4 to his assist total which has him averaging 2.8 a game and tied for 7th in the KJCCC. Freshman guard, Jaquan Daniels, had a big night on the boards grabbing 10 total rebounds, his career high, while also putting up 7 points and Leland Harvey was right behind with seven rebounds, nine points, and two blocked shots.
The next game for the Scotties will be Saturday, February 18th on the road to Kansas City, Kansas to take on the KCKCC Blue Devils at 3:00PM.
