High Scoring Offense Carries Scotties over the Storm

Box Score The Highland Community College Scotties went full force against the Storm in second showing of Southeast Community College out of Beatrice, Neb. Falling to them earlier in the season, the Scotties were looking to take this victory. With a final score of 92-79, 48 of HCC's points came from the paint. The Scotties shot a 42.4% field goal percentage in the 1st half while the Storm only shot 29.6%. The rebounding, led by freshman Andre Jackson with 12, went in favor to the Scotties 38-30. Highland's bench out performed the Storm's scoring 30 points over the Storm's 16. Dontre English and Stephon Jackson combined for 49 points, scoring over half of the teams total. Danmons O'Connor led in assists with 6 and Jaquan Daniels also scored in double digits with 14.
The Troy Trojan high school football team was recognized at halftime for their undefeated state championship title for the 2016 season. The Scotties will play another home game on Wednesday, February 22nd against Brown Mackie College at 7:30PM.
