Box Score 2 Highland softball improved to 11-3 and earned their first two conference wins Tuesday afternoon in Kansas City, KS defeating the Blue Devils 18-0 and 6-1.

Game one saw Highland recording 18 runs off 20 hits.
Kayla Ross started things off for the Scotties in the top of the first hitting an RBI single that scored
Kenzie Garvin from third.
Maddy Miller scored on a Blue Devil error and
Sydney Anderson hit an RBI single to cap off the inning giving Highland the quick 3-0 lead.

The Scotties didn't stop there, they went on to score six more in both the second and third innings while holding the Blue Devils scoreless.
Sydney Anderson and Aubrey Hernandez both had homeruns in game one helping the Scotties to the 18-0 win in 5-innings.

Kennadi Barron got the win pitching all five-innings giving up one hit, striking out six and gave up just two walks. On the offensive side,
Aubry Hernandez,
Kayla Ross and
Sydney Anderson all had four RBI's apiece while
Kenzie Garvin went 4-5 and scored four runs in the first game of the double header.

Game two was much closer with the Scotties winning just 6-1. They slowly took a three-run lead scoring one run in the second, one in the fourth and one in the fifth.
Haley Donaldson started in the circle for Highland and held the Blue Devils scoreless through five innings. She gave up one run on six hits and struck out four.

Maddie Moore went 3-4 and scored two of Highland's six runs. Six Scotties, Anderson, Hernandez,
Kayla Ross, Miller, Donaldson and Ortega, all knocked in one run apiece in the game.
Julisa Ortega came in to relief pitch for Donaldson in the sixth, struck out three and went 1-1 with an RBI double.

Highland will take a week off from games before taking on Cloud County next Tuesday, March 14
th in Concordia, KS for a double-header with game times 2:00pm & 4:00pm.
