Red Devils and Scotties Split Conference Double-Header

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GAME ONE
The Highland softball team lost control early in game one against the Allen County Red Devils in the first game of the afternoon. The Scotties scored their only point in the first inning from a walk off of bases loaded and could not gain momentum back. The Red Devils would score eight points through the top of the second inning and one more again in the top of the fifth to finish the game early 9-1.

GAME TWO
With Haley Donaldson on the mound for Highland the team was able to get on the board first and stay ahead the whole game. Sydney Anderson hit an RBI triple in the bottom of the first and would again would score Garvin in the third inning to take a 2-1 lead. In the fourth, Donaldson hit an RBI triple and Sam Hill hit a sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 4-1. With two more runs scored by the Scotties in the fifth the Red Devils contested in the top of the seventh scoring three more runs but would not be enough and the Scotties clenched the win 6-4. Donaldson improved her record 8-3 with this win.

The softball team will travel to Chanute, Kansas to take on the Neosho Panthers in a double-header on Wednesday, April 19th first game starting at 2:00PM.
