Box Score 2 GAME ONE
Scottie softball come in hot for the first game against the Neosho Panthers with a big third inning scoring seven behind a two RBI single from
Kayla Ross and a three run home run by
Sam Hill taking the lead 7-3. Three more runs by the Scotties would gibe them a 10-3 lead and
Sydney Anderson hit a bomb over the fences to keep it going in the top of the sixth. A grand slam by
Aubry Hernandez in the seventh would secure a 16-6 victory over the Panthers.
Julisa Ortega improved her record to 9-3. Hernandez went 3 of 5 with four RBI's followed Anderson and Moore each going 2 for 5 with two RBI's and
Kayla Ross 2 of 4 with two RBI's on the game.
GAME TWO
In game two on the afternoon
Haley Donaldson would take the mound for the Scotties. The score stayed even throughout he first few innings with a Scottie lead 2-1. The fifth inning would give Highland more control with another home run by Hernandez scoring two extending the lead 5-1.
Sam Moran hit a lead off triple to start the sixth inning and
Kenzie Garvin hit a single to get her home. Anderson got back in the action with a two run home run! One more run in the seventh inning clenched the victory 10-2.
The Scotties finished the regular season with a 31-9 overall record and 15-5 in conference finishing in third and ranked #12 in the NJCAA.
