The Scottie softball team took on Hutchinson CC on a sunny Friday afternoon. A big second inning carried the Scotties to a six-inning victory over the Blue Devils.

Julisa Ortega held the Blue Dragons to only one score and got her 6
th win of the season.
Â
Maddy Miller started off the eight scores in the second inning with a home run over the center field fence.
Kenzie Garvin,
Sam Moran,
Sydney Anderson, Aubrey Hernandez,
Kayla Ross, and Ortega all had hot bats all with at least RBI apiece to take an early lead 8-0.

The Blue Dragons were unable to answer back and with Ross hitting one more RBI in the 6
th inning to take the game by a run rule 9-1.

Game 2
Â
Haley Donaldson was the starting pitcher for the Scotties in game two against the Hutchinson Blue Dragons.
Â
After a slow start for both the Blue Dragons and the Scotties, the top of the fifth was taken control of by Hutchinson as they took a 2-0 lead over the Scotties.
Kennadi Barron came into the game to get the Scotties out of the inning but the Blue Dragons would score two more to take a 4-0 lead heading in the fifth inning.

With a solo home run by Anderson in the fifth and another by Barron in the sixth and the lead being 2-5 with Hutch leading. The Blue Dragons were able to hold the Scotties from scoring again and would take the win 2-8 and split 1-1 on the afternoon.

The Scotties are now 23-7 on the year and 10-4 in conference play. They will take on the Hesston Larks on Saturday, April 8
th at Scottie Ballpark at 12:00 and 2:00PM to go for head coach
