It was a different ballgame then just a few games ago this time for the #2 Highland Women's basketball team when they took on Metropolitan Community College on Tuesday tonight this time in Kansas City; but the outcome was still the same a Scottie victory as the Scotties won 83-78. With the win the Scotties moved to 8-0 on the season.

Tight throughout the first half the Scotties found themselves down at the end of the first quarter by a bucket trailing 23-21 on the road at MCC. The second quarter however belonged to the Scotties as Highland outscored MCC 30-14 in the frame and carried a 51-37 advantage into halftime.

The strong second quarter helped guide the Scotties to the win as Highland was outscored in the second half by MCC but used their double figure lead late to hold on for the 83-78 win.
Scotties shot 44.6% from the floor in the contest draining 15 three-pointers and also went 18-21 from the charity stripe but had 19 turnovers in the matchup.

A career best from Stefania Chiziane paced Highland as she tallied 25 points on 9-14 shooting adding three blocks and two assists. Tiana Gipson continued her strong performances this season with her sixth double figure game of the year as she hit five three's and finished with 17 points, while Armani Turner had her fifth double figure performance of the season posting 11 points.
