Three Scotties Earn All-American Honors

After the conclusion of one of the most successful seasons in Highland Community College Softball history, a few Scottie student-athletes are still bringing in national awards for their performances this season.

Three Scotties earned All-American honors on the softball field for the 2021 season: Lilli Wier (2nd Team All-American, Pitcher), Cheyenne Minnick (3rd Team All American, Catcher) and Gabby Schultz (3rd Team All-American, Infield).

Lilli Weir, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference MVP led the KJCCC in Strikeouts and finished the season with a record of 17-3. Weir finishes her Highland career in 3rd place in school history for total strikeouts (201) and 6th place for wins in a season (17).

Gabby Schultz finishes her career at Highland as Highland's All-Time leader for most hits in a single season (88). Shultz also finished 5th on the list for Runs Scored in a Season (65) and tied for 7th in both RBI in a season (64) and Home Runs in Season (12).

Cheyenne Minnick finishes her career at Highland as Highland's All-Time leader for most walks in a single season (37) and tied for 1st on the All-Time list for Runs Scored in a Season (80).
