Highland, KS- Wednesday night at Ben Allen Field House the Men's Basketball team defeated Allen County Community College 69-61. The Red Devils were unbeaten in conference play prior to playing Highland with a record of 8-0. This was a big conference win for the Scotties after recently falling short against Fort Scott CC and Neosho CC.

The Scotties fought hard for their win against the Red Devils. The largest lead for Highland was 8 points and didn't come until the close of the game. Zyon Smith led the Scotties the first half with two three pointers. Highland led Allen County CC 31-26 at halftime. The Scotties were led in scoring by Denzel Knight with 15 points and Zyon Smith close behind with 14 points. Denzel Knight led the second half in scoring going 4-4 from the field and 2-2 from the free throw line. The Red Devils were led by Ed Wright with 17 points. This puts the Scotties 13-10 overall on the season and 4-5 in conference play.
