Scottie’s Get Revenge On Red Devils

Box Score Highland, KS -After losing to the Red Devils in Iola in January, the Highland Women's Basketball team won against Allen County CC 65-63 at the Ben Allen Field House Wednesday night.

The Women's Basketball team didn't score much in the paint the first period, but two three point buckets from Kenadi Rising and going 10-10 as a team from the free throw line kept them up by 8.
The Red Devils answered back, out scoring the Scotties 25-16 in the second period as the Scotties trailed by three at halftime, Joze Baker came in as a spark in the third period scoring 11 points.

It came down to the final minute of the game when Highland trailed by 1 and Emily Dogbatse hit a huge 3 pointer, leaving only 3 seconds to spare on the clock for Allen County CC. A missed jumper by Allen County ended the game brining the Scotties to 6-3 in conference play and 16-8 overall.

The Scotties were led by Emily Dogbatse and Joze Baker with 22 points each. The Red Devils were led by Clara Romero with 14 points.

Head Coach Jordon O'Brien commented following the game about Emily Dogbatse and the rest of her team. "This young lady has spent COUNTLESS hours on the shooting gun, taking that exact shot over and over again, her hard work paid off big time tonight. We head into battle with KCK on Saturday. As always, I know our players will play their hearts out."

The Scotties will be back in action on Saturday, February 12th at Kansas City Community College at 2 P.M. To Watch Live please visit KCK's athletics website.
