HIGHLAND, Kan. - Returning to Porter Family Stadium after their only extended road trip of the season Highland (0-6, 0-3 KJCCC) turned in several electrifying plays against no. 14 Coffeyville (3-2, 3-0 KJCCC) but fell 51-0 on the afternoon.
After the Red Ravens saw a touchdown return nullified by a holding penalty,
Kameron Graham almost singlehandedly kept Coffeyville off the scoreboard entirely. After the visitors picked up a first down, Graham blew up a pass play and sacked Mac Armstrong for a five-yard loss. Coffeyville was able to recover the yardage on its next play with a rush by Steven Robinson, but Graham answered with an even bigger sack, chasing Armstrong 14 yards deep in the backfield on 3rd-and-10. Coffeyville missed a 42-yard field goal attempt to give the Scotties 1st-and-10 on their own 25-yard line.
Graham picked up another huge sack in the second quarter, this time a 15-yard loss that turned a touchdown into a field goal for the Red Ravens.
Highland also saw solid offensive production from
Gabe McWilliams, who threw for 203 yards on the afternoon with 22 completions.
The Scotties are on the road next week, heading to Butler Community College. Kickoff against the Grizzlies is set for 3 p.m.
