Alex Cox enters his fourth season as the assistant baseball coach at Highland Community College.
Before coming to Highland, Cox was a pitching coach and head coach for 18 and under Next Level Baseball teams during the 2015 and 2016 summers. As a player, Cox pitched at Pratt Community College for three years, missing his true sophomore year with a shoulder injury which sidelined him the full 2011-2012 season. He was a team captain his final two years while attending PCC. After Pratt, Cox pitched at Fort Hays State University for two years. He was also a captain his final year at FHSU.
Cox graduated from PCC with an Associate of Art's degree. While attending FHSU he received a Bachelor's Degree in History and is currently working on his Master's Degree from Pittsburg State University, in the field of Health and Human Performance.
