Landon Hay enters his fourth full season as the Head Baseball Coach at Highland Community College after being hired in January 2021.

2023-2024:
Year 4 of the Hay era of Scottie Baseball saw the program reach new heights in several categories. The Scotties once again saw an increase in their season win total, including tripling their conference win total with 6. On the year, Highland notched marque wins vs. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Northeast (NE) Community College, Pratt Community College, Cloud County Community College, Allen Community College and Labette Community College. Including a series split on the road at NEO A&M and their first KJCCC series win since 2021 over the Red Devils of Allen Community College. In addition, they swept Metropolitan Community College in a February twin bill and opened the season going 9-3 in their first 12 games. 
Scottie Baseball once again saw the majority of their sophomore sign 4-year letters of intent to continue their athletic and academic careers as well with 19 Scottie Sophomores moving on! Additionally, a program high 5 Scottie Sophomores signed an NCAA Division 1 letter of intent during the 2023-2024 season. Pitchers Tucker Russell & Carter Poole signed with Wichita State University & University of the Incarnate Word respectfully while catcher Dylan Shepherd signed at Ohio University, outfielder Zach Knowlton inked with Central Michigan University, and infielder Kyle McConachie signed with The University of Akron. This group marked 8 Scotties that have signed at the NCAA Division 1 level during the Hay era.

2022-2023:
2022-2023 saw the Scotties earn marque victories over Rock Valley CC, Hesston College, Neosho County, Labette CC, Pratt CC and Cloud County. Filip Sarota and Kyle McConachie both earned All-KJCCC honorable mention honors for their efforts on the field and the entire Scottie Baseball program was recognized as a KJCCC and ABCA All-Academic team for their efforts in the classroom. The Scotties once again made an impact on the base paths stealing 104 bases in 127 tries (81.8% success rate.) 
2021-2022: 
In Hay's second season leading the Scotties, 8 sophomores signed letters of intent to continue their education and baseball careers at four-year schools. On the field the Scotties were lead by Lander Suarez, Dalton Riechers, Andrew Brubeck and Jake Bucovetsky who all earned All Jayhawk Conference Honorable-Mention honors at the conclusion of the season. On the field in 2022 the Scottie's offense hit .297 on the season while slugging .490 and adding 43 home runs. 

2021: 
In Hay's first season at the helm, Scottie Baseball found themselves back in the post season for the first time since 2015. 2021 also saw 15 Scotties move on to 4-year colleges to continue they're athletic careers. Additionally, Highland Community College Baseball achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.08 during the spring semester. On the field the Scotties hit for a .287 average as a team while belting 63 home runs and 74 doubles. Highland stole 80 bases in 107 attempts and fielded the baseball at a clip of .940. The 2021 season saw key wins vs. Jefferson College, Fort Scott, Coffeyville, and Neosho.

Coach Hay holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Washburn University in Topeka, KS, and a Master’s in Education from Missouri Southern State University. Landon is a native of Lawrence, KS and he and his wife Becca live in Highland with their son, Hudson and dog, Leia.
